Well Grendal is home at last, well he was on Friday but I certainly didn't have time to post about it. The breeder is excited about how quickly he's adjusting. Apparently other pups in the litter weren't eating their first night home, etc.

He's already going to the door and crying about 25% of the time, and eating well/sleeping well. As I type he's sleeping in a box we got from Costco for the cats while Luna attempts to get him to come out and play. She went from bring not at all excited about him being here, to being extremely excited and wanting him to play with her. He's not so sure as she's very big and with the exception of his paws he isn't.

With the exception of two accidents, one on the bed and one about twenty minutes ago he hasn't went to the bathroom in the house. Both were easy to clean and entirely my fault. After all, he cried both times I just didn't get him out the door fast enough. :)

He loves the cats, and I mean loves! He sleeps with Trigger [the youngest] as his pillow, and tries so hard to be friends with Pepsi. She's just really skittish.

Well I need to go do other things that can only be done whilst Grendal is sleeping. I shall update soon with pictures.

Yay, congrats! Sounds like potty training is going great. Just stick with it and remember that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Apollo is finally trustworthy in the house and we can even leave him alone for a few hours without worrying, but housetraining is very, very exhausting work.

Can't wait for more pictures of the little guy! :)

I meant to ask, did you crate train Apollo at all? We're considering it now because it's hard for me to be home 24/7. I'm thinking at the very most it'll be for one hour, since other than that Terry is working his schedule so that someone is always home.

How's Kilo doing? :D And thanks for the comment, it's not as tiring as I thought it would be thankfully.

Kilo's settling in nice! We're off to the vet tomorrow for a check-up and his first vaccs.

I tried to crate train Apollo and failed miserably, so I'm not the person to ask for advice. I know they say to let them "cry it out" but Apollo would carry on forever and work himself into a frenzy. The biggest rule is that a dog can be crated for no more hours than they are in months of age (so if Grendal is 2 months, no more than two hours a day in the crate, and so on).

But yeah, Apollo was horrible about the crate so I gave up and gave it to Kurt's brother (who just got a new puppy). He peed in there, he was so upset, and then he'd splatter his pee everywhere when he jumped... ugh, it was awful.

Yeah, Grendals almost two months, just short of it actually. I don't normally say anything since I worry someone will be "omg you're horrible!1!1" But I know you won't.

I'm thinking I'm only using it for nighttimes and the occasional time (Like Terry's birthday today) So I can go out to supper.

Grendal's a calm puppy and loves to sleep in boxes, so I should be okay.
